Holy Days of Obligation
All Roman Catholics of the United States
are obliged to participate at Mass on the following days :
* The Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God - January 1
The Ascension of the Lord - 40 days after Easter
* The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - August 15
* All Saints - November 1
The Immaculate Conception - December 8
Christmas Day - December 25
* When falling on a Monday or Saturday,
the obligation of these feasts has been removed.
